Local Media Coverage of firing/hiring - (was: Joel Klatt is having a meltdown)

 I'll have to go listen to the Bohn interview with Klatt later tonight. Love to hear how Bohn owned Klatt in that interview.

CJ is going to have Bob Simmons on today...what could possibly go bad for CU with that topic...

Bob Simmons hasn't been at CU since 1994. Certainly no way he can attack Bohn by having Simmons on.

Bob Simmons knows all about nepotism.

If I remember correctly, he also knows what it's like to be fired by a desperate head coach as the scapegoat for a program's problems. Didn't Willingham got rid of Simmons the year before the winless season? Maybe CJ is going to ask Simmons about all the staff changes that Embree was talking about making.

I'm just not eager to open back up all the allegations that got thrown around at CU when Neuheisel got the job instead of Simmons. If its the no second chances topic then that is a fair discussion.

Or he'll ask him why he hasn't been given a 2nd opportunity after OSU.

Bob Simmons is an interesting guy. Very very very secretive. Had a kidney replacement operation and didn't even tell OSU about it until AFTER the surgery had been done. He also had a big time problem with his son being on the team - played his son when there were better players on the team.

bob simmons? is this serious?

christ! just hire me then.

coaching search speculation can go full retard at the speed of light.

yeah! lets get him in here because he did such a good job being a head coach perviously.

have we not learned one damn thing with the last two hires? for crying out loud.... its like i am dealing with my brothers kid....

You're still making more sense than Klatt.

JE's interview with CJ and Kreckman:
http://www.denverssportsstation.com/common/page.php?pt=CJandKreckman_Replay&id=85

What amazes me is that Embree says he doesn't understand why he was fired. Then he talked about how Bohn said the trajectory of the program was not good, and JE said that "everything in the program was trending upward except wins and losses"

Did JE realize what he just said there?

The losses were trending upward dramaticaly, thankyewverymuch.

Goodman on 102.3 was very good with facts about the admission standards. He was told that athletes need to have a 2.5 and 820 sat score to get in or around a 2.5 and that if the ncaa clearing house cleares the athlete than cu would admit them. not sure how true that is.

Those are definitely Stanford level scores.

Klatt 100% behind Mac's letter and comments. Klatt says the leadership at CU lacks integrity

Klatt is all in with MAC Kardashian.

IF our next coach helps lead CU back to a winning season it will be hilarious to see Klatt, CJ, Big Al and the rest of the media jump to kiss his ass for an interview. Let's not forget to remind these ****ers what ****heads they are when that happens, IF it happens.

All these guys need to just quiet down and climb back into their holes. They are doing way more damage than good at this point. "They" are making the university and the state of Colorado look like clowns in the circus. Thank goodness we are really at a low point at this time so it is not out there in the mainstream...mostly local am radio shows and a bunch of wannabees looking for their lost 15 min of fame

The first thing Klatt said when he came on the air at 5:30 MT this morning is (paraphrasing): "Why would you not believe this man, who led CU to a national title? What would he have to gain in saying this? Therefore it's true"

I guess we could have guessed that Klatt would be siding with Mac on this one.

Just heard Klatt screaming at Mike Evans about how CU must continue to embrace the past, the guy is totally unhinged.

Yea, but can you imagine how insufferable they will be if it doesn't happen?
