Bohn has a favorite in mind and it´s current College HC

If I were Tedford, I'd definitely take some time off. I might not coach again, in fact. It's not terribly difficult to live the rest of your life with $7MM in the bank.

We do not want this dragging out more than a week or two. As vacancies get filled, our options become limited. We do not want a bunch of stories about candidates saying that they aren't interested or (worse) that they've rejected an offer from us. We do not want to settle - but we'll have to if this goes into Bowl season.

Charlie Strong is the name being floated today - apparently Arky wants a bigger name than him.

I could see why we might like Strong but I don't think we could get him anyway. Louisville AD on record saying he'll match whatever offer he gets, they just announced the move to the ACC, he has a young stud QB and he supposedly is being considered for top SEC jobs (which all pay a lot more than we can and it's more his region).

If it's true Andersen is not interested I am starting to worry a bit b/c Andersen is a strong candidate but he is not top tier (yet anyway). You'd think someone like him would like Colorado and he's been next door in Utah for so long you'd think it would be a natural.

Does the move to the ACC actually hurt Louisvilles finances in the short-term, though? Isn't there some huge exit fee? That's the situation CU found itself in when it kind of got into a financial bind and decided not to fire Hawkins in 2009.

I've been narrowing down my list, here is what it looks like:
1.) Deruyter 2.) Malzahn 3.) MacIntyre

I could be on board with Anderson, but he would come for less, than 2.5, right?! On another note, I don't think Louisville was nearly as good as the record suggests, they seemed very, very lucky the number of times I saw them this season.

Not true

I'd love to have Charlie Strong as long as he brought a good OC. Can't picture it happening though. I think he has strong ties to Florida and I'm not sure how many Florida recruits he could convince to go all the way to Boulder. I'm guessing he stays at Louisville where he's building a strong program. Eventually, he might end up in the SEC.

Reed Marks reporting that Anderson isn't interested in CU, and CU's #1 target is Charlie Strong.

Question is -- how interested is Charlie Strong in CU?

If we can't get a guy to leave Utah State we are pretty screwed. Cal being open might mean we have to wait for them to have first pick.

its early in the process... but we just MUST make the right hire this time or our next coach will come from the "youth" leagues

I will throw my hat in the ring for DeRuyter if he can bring schramm with him. Why in the heck would you want Gary Anderson? Are we CSU now? Way to shoot for the moon pals. Besides, he's like a Mormon, you thought Mac blew a gasket before, you just wait til that happens!

Is he like a Mormon, or is he a Mormon. Nevermind, I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not Mormon. I don't plan on being Mormon. So who gives a crap if they're socialists? He could be a fascist anarchist, it still doesn't change the fact that my team has only won 3 games in 2 years!

Just a thought....if an extra million per year will attract the guy we want, then CU must do it.

Was supposed to be a mildly humorous comment given Mac's rants on the racism of CU for firing Embree, due to the fact that McCartney's Promise Keepers don't recognize mormonism. Sorry to go over your head on that.
