I'm saying that we're at least as good as ASU and they finished 7-5. Yes, it is good that we made a coaching change.
ASU had a 4th & 1 on the FSU 41 yard line.
Herm went NFL philosophy and took a 5 yard delay of game before punting -- rather than going for it. Same way of managing games that made me want to strangle MacIntyre at times.
Result: FSU immediately breaks a play on its next offensive series to score a TD and take a 24-20 lead.

Presuming this includes the NY6 and championship game, this is the type of self flagellation that is appropriate for the offense committed.

The way he walked off is why I've always liked Wilkins. No way in hell he wasn't going off the field under his own power for his last college snap.

Yup. Here we go again.
Because of the perception of Herm, not because of their talent at key positions.
Better team was favored, won and covered.
Expected, no?
They are losing a lot of that talent. That was a very senior laden/talented offense.
Killing the program and restarting it may have made strategic sense. They were able to clear out the roster and then load it with JUCOs and transfers. They were also a big story for prep recruiting with immediate playing time available.
What I'm getting at is that I think they'd be a lot worse than they are if they hadn't killed the program for a year.

Seeing him on the sidelines it's amazing how much he looks like and acts like Vance Joseph. Makes the same terrible decisions as well. That choice to kick the FG at the end of the half instead of going for the TD was a losers move.
Doesn't seem that long ago that Strong was one of the hottest names in college football. Losing 5 straight this year (likely 6 with this bowl) has to start getting his seat warmer at USF.
