Been expecting this offer to pop up at some point. Same school as Nelson Spruce.

Will be in Boulder for the spring game.

Indeed.

"Looking at the school, there is a new coaching staff and I know last season they didn't do that well, but they have a new coaching staff now and a new start," Solis said. "The location is perfect for me because, to be honest, I can't do hot weather. So that type of climate would be perfect for me to live in. And it's close to family out here in California and close to my support base."

Read on at Scout...

Good news. I think Solis is going to have several offers from Pac-12 schools before it is all over. Love seeing some top OOS targets coming to Junior Day.

Watch us get some 90 degree day for the spring game. :argh:

Honestly though, that sounds very promising.

btw, Solis referred to the Buffs as "we" during that interview. :wink2:

Might be another early commit?

Psyco may need a trip to the cardiologist, two quality DT commits before we even hit summer.

I'd love to have him on the commit list. . .

I'll place my bets that his response will be, "we'll see"

It can get pretty warm in the Summer, particularly around late June/Early July. Not that it would matter in this case. The nice thing about Colorado, IMO, is that we avoid the extremes for the most part. We might get a couple weeks in Jan/Feb that are bitter cold, and a couple weeks in June/July that are really hot, but on balance, the weather here is probably better than most places.

Really liked his visit over the weekend by a few different accounts. Need to lock him down, although more Pac-12 schools are likely to get involved soon.

According to 247 he picked up offers from Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Washington.

I really want this guy. We need us some big men in the middle (for the football field and more importantly, to ease Syko's mind).

Looks like we are in great shape on this one. Nice to see us ranking over Oregon in his eyes. We have to give these recruits something promising on the field this season to get the sig on the dotted line though.

I take us ranking over Oregon with a gain of salt considering he doesn't have a reported offer from them, but I agree it's nice to see.

Okay BB, I really like Solis as a player, and I like the fact that we're after some talented DT's. But I have to ask why you think securing his commitment, at this time, is that important. just curious......

Because he is really good and we are not in that great of shape with any of the other DTs we have offered. People give Syko **** about his obsession with DTs, but these are the types of players we have not been able to lock up in past years and then we are left scrounging for more questionable prospects.

I'm glad to hear that his visit luster hasn't fallen. I really want this kid, like BB said, good DTs don't come around often. Solis and Hennington would be a nice pair to have this year, and if possible, one more.

Scout has Solis listing only the Buffs and ucla as "high interest". The rest of the teams are "medium". Rivals has all teams listed as "medium" so not sure what to believe.

It has been that way for awhile. He seems to really like us, but might want to stay close to home. Hopefully we win out in the end.
