I'm not sure you can blame the DP (although it's tempting to do so). The job of the newspaper is to report stuff. The person who should be pretty upset is whoever leaked the information. Just check for somebody cleaning their desk out at Dal Ward today...
 
These past few days have made me lose what little faith I have in the sports media - until it is confirmed by either CU or Jones himself, I'll stay open-minded...

Bull****. Confirm the story then print it. This was amateurish at best.

I was just about to post this.

While I understand that I was part of the fan contingent who was demanding information, whoever leaked this needs to be unemployed today.

What an enormous ****-up that was.

At least we know why Mike Bohn missed the game last night, and instead spent the evening in Dal Ward. He was trying to patch this one up. What a mess.
 
If this guy changed his mind because of a local paper breaking a story prematurely - GOOD RIDDANCE....

The leak didn't come from CU. It was Jones agent. Don't be surprised if Jones has a new agent soon and the Denver Post is put on the "don't call us, we'll call you" list.

The leak from yesterday? Why do you think it was his agent? I have a hunch the leak came from Dal Ward.

Maybe - but Butch's agent has been feeding Woody through this entire process.
 
Let me just say that I'm not entirely disappointed.... my main disappointment is that CU again comes out look like crap.

I don't know. The way he dragged this out reflects on him more then us. We backed up the brinks for him.
 
If the deal is off (sounds like it), I'm fine with it. I get that BJ was trying to do the right thing with his players & family & staff, but it was giving me a really bad vibe.

Bohn better be all over plan B (C? D? E? F?) and have something ready to announce in a day or two.

I debunked this in another thread. Yes, he is supplying Woody with information, but he didn't break the story to Woody, and it would make absolutely no sense that Jones' representation would say the deal was done only to have him back out the next day.

Dal Ward leaked it, Jones got pissed, and he snubbed us. Any shred of leniency I had for Bohn is now gone. He needs to go immediately.
 
I would guess from the sounds of it that DeRuyter wants the job pretty badly. If true this will move fairly quickly after a interview.
