Hard to believe that UC would come up with the money when the Big East's TV contract talks is in turmoil.
what about the $200 million for facilities?
Now that's another issue. :lol:
Don't see them being able to match ~$5.7M in total salaries and ~$250M in facility upgrades that are promised. If anyone remembers, Jones doesn't like the lack of facilities that Cincinnati has and their unwillingness to upgrade them.
I argue that conference, or lack of one, could end up being the biggest factor.
Maybe he figures that there will always be options at bigger conferences, and he wants to wait for the right HC gig to come along.

Unless confirmed, I highly doubt this. Cincinnati is simply not in the same league (literally) as Colorado. Especially when it sounds like we have very deep pockets (Solich) personally backing this hire.
Can you make the Big East a 1st tier conference or even know what it's going to look like 1-2 years from now???
