#20 ranked Women's basketball (Last season 25-9 overall, 13-5 in conference play; reached the Sweet 16) starts its season off with a great challenge as they head to Las Vegas to face last year's NCAA Champion and this year's pre-season #1 LSU Tigers (Last season - 34-2 overall; 15-1 in the SEC). The game is scheduled to begin Monday at 5:30 PM MT at the T-Mobile Arena, and is scheduled to be shown on TNT, with a pregame show beginning at 5:00 PM MT. (It's part of a "Hall of Fame College Series", which includes a men's and women's game earlier that day, and another men's game after the Buffs - Tigers.)

Go Buffs!!!

(Preview not available as I type this.)

My understanding is the game will be on TNT and streamed on HBO Max.

I hope we can make some noise against LSU. A very, very tough opening game. I us to do something that makes Mulkey stomp her feet and argue enough to get a T.

JR is a class act coach and I will take JR any day over Mulkey as my coach.

Kim gives off major "don't you know who I am?! My family owns this entire town!" psycho narcissist vibes. JR is the anti-Mulkey. Playing LSU in the opener is a huge challenge, but it is also an incredible opportunity, and I think our staff will have our players ready to roll on Monday. I like our team. I like our coaches. I think most people in America who follow WBB will be rooting for the Buffs in this one. I'd like to see them make a big statement to open the season. I'm getting really excited to watch these women compete this year!

Go BUFFS!!! Beat the Tigahs!

Saw some video yesterday of a reporter asking the players if JR should dress like Mulkey?

The players said JR should be herself. She isn't Kim Mulkey and she should dress in her usual game clothes.

What an utterly stupid question. I don't want JR aspiring to be like that woman who has no manners, doesn't like LGBTQ+ people and used Brittney Griner to win a national championships but did not care about her as a person

Looks like it's time for a "Kim is Polarizing" thread ;)

On a serious note, I'm not bullish on the Buffs chances this evening. Looks like LSU 's offensive firepower is better than the Buffs and they rebound very well. For CU to have a chance they will have to maximize each possession, particularly when the shot clock is below 12 seconds and part of this is minimizing unforced turnovers. Another part is hitting a high % of threes and not be dependent on Frida the entire game from the perimeter. Let's hope Quay has her offensive mojo back and someone(s) else is hitting long range shots as well. Down low, Aaronette needs to be on her game on both ends.

Wondering if Sadler or Nolan is the fifth starter today?

Who gets to guard Angel?

Go Buffs!
