Big win coming for the Buffs this weekend!!! This team has what it takes to go into the Coliseum and win. When the Buffs last played in the Coliseum, they were ranked #21 and lost (21-17) to Sam Darnold and a USC team that was getting hot after a rough start and would end up winning the Rose Bowl and finishing ranked #3 in the country. Who played the majority of that game at quarterback? Steven Montez. He filled in for Sefo after he left the game injured. Montez is experienced in this exact environment and he's playing better than ever and has an amazing support staff around him.
Montez Support:
O-line: Arizona State's D-line that gave #15 Michigan State fits at home, was completely shut down by CU O-line. To put into perspective, CU rushed for 166 against ASU; MSU rushed for a meager 63. Colorado compiled 100+ yards more than Michigan State did when they played ASU. Montez had plenty of time all game to make long passes to Nixon and Shenault.
Shenault: The Buffs #1 receiver is the best in the nation and we haven't had an offensive player at this level since Rashaan Salaam. We can always count on this man to be a playmaker for CU and a big win this weekend would put him on the Heisman Watch List for sure.
McMillian: The Va-Tech transfer has lived up to the hype so far. He showed out on Saturday with 136 yards. McMillian and this O-line combined create a legit running attack that ran all over ASU. They can run all over USC as well, creating more opportunity for Shenault to make plays on the receiving end once USC is forced to respect the run.

USC (3-2) has proven nothing through 5 weeks in the season. They lost handsomely to Stanford, who has proven to be overrated after an embarrassing loss to Utah, and barely beat Washington State (in LA), and Arizona (@Arizona). Do not believe the USC hype that comes with the history of their program. Believe in the CU hype, which will be solidified this weekend with a program defining win! This CU team is better than the 2016 CU team that played one of the best USC teams in recent history (with players like Adoree Jackson, Sam Darnold, and Juju Smith-Schuster) down to the final snap on the road. This will not be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination, but look for the gritty, talented Buffs to grind out the biggest win of the season and keep the momentum rolling.

My prediction: USC is coming off a bye week and will be well rested but CU is riding the momentum of success and is looking like a well-oiled machine on both sides of the ball. USC is 0-2 this year against teams that are currently ranked (Texas and Stanford). The Montez-Shenault duo steals the show again on the road and the Buffs win 24-17.

I like the breakdown. Let’s go with this!

The CU OL didn't surrender a sack against ASU who came into the game leading the PAC in sacks. Let's say the OL is coming together at the right time and Montez is now a RS junior with a real QBs coach plus we have McMillian and Shenault. No offense to Phillip Lindsay and CU's WRs from that season but I think this year's team has the better skill players and that might be enough of a difference to win in LA this Saturday.

Any kool-aid shortages these days due to the Nub fans gobbling them up trying to believe that they will finally win a game this year?

Now this is how you do a first post.

Props to both the OL and DL for stepping up their games this past week.

Don’t, however, put too much into the zero-sack stat against ASUs defense. Yes, they led the PAC in sacks but half of their 18 total coming into the game was against UTSA and another handful came against Oregon State.

No. I agree 100% with everything written in the post (even commented on it)! But as a FIRST POST?? Seemed a little TL;DR to me. It should have been more along the lines of :
“Hey All Buffs, what up? **** Nebraska! Oh, and **** Bailher!”
Different strokes for different folks y’all.

10:30pm start for me here in Meatchicken, so I'll def be up till 2:30am. Sheesh, these start times man for us EST zone fans, really testing my fan guts. But heck, if I stayed up till the end of that Hawaii game in 2015, I have no excuse not to now.

So is Winfree's injury a high ankle sprain or a break? I really hope that he can come back to close out the season – believe he has the ability to be on an NFL roster one day. Love the ability Tony Brown has shown but he's more of a finesse guy, having another physical receiver out there would open up even more for this offense (surprised Ento hasn't stepped into that role either)

Do we think that Chris Miller gets the start at CB 2 this week as well? Predicting that the difference maker will be safety play for us, both in helping to stop the run along with the pass. Want to see Worthington play physical like we know he can, and have Fisher flash like the Wazzu game two years ago

I will be captain obvious here but CU has been a hell of a 4th quarter team this season.
