hagan and kordell were elite college qbs.
klatt, montez, deemer, pesavento would the next group of CU qbs down the ladder.
there were probably a handful of other guys that you could make a case belong in the group with klatt, etc.
shadeur could join the hagan/kordell club.
also, with the numbers he is going to put up in this offense, expect to see more elite qbs coming here down the road.

As long as SS is protected this team is going to score a lot of points. I will say these videos make the Defense look pretty bad.

montez gets a lot of neg from our fans but he was a solid power conference qb. he had an nfl camp invite. if you could have put sefo's heart and head into montez, you would probably have another elite candidate.
Offense is rolling this week, but it was only a week ago the defense was dominating. Been a back and forth affair
There are reasons Montez didn't get recruited by other P5 schools but talent wasn't one of them. He had an NFL arm and and NFL body. What he didn't have was an NFL ready head.
You never know but the pros thought he was worth a chance, even to the point that they kept him around for a while on practice squads.
Have to wonder what he could have become with a solid coaching staff and some talent around him.
1) Bucky has said more than once that they show more offense plays because they pull more likes and more views.
2) The defense is going up a group of WRs that could be the best group top to bottom in the conference.
3) Defense takes a noticeable hit on the days when 12 is playing offense.
4) I think Edwards is going to make a lot of defenses look bad with that speed. If he gets a seam, that kid can fly.
Apex players running Lew's offense is going to be like watching a damn video game.
I expect our defense, like every other team's defense, to lose more than they win against our O.
That said, I think the strength of this D will be when they can pin their ears back and attack a team that's in one dimensional pass mode. Not what they get to do as much as they will in games when other teams are trying to play catch up.

Also a 4.65 forty guy. Montez is a major "what could have been" guy. He just personally didn't really give a **** and coasted on physical talent and still is.
I like how TO is in town visiting and now he's saying "we" when talking about the Buffs.
yeah... but we got nuthin else to talk about.
At CU he knew they didn't have another option and didn't have the backbone to hold him accountable.
If, and this is a big if, he had been in a situation where he was pushed to be better he could have had a career.
I thought I cemented your Buff fandom!
