Official Buffs Dance Resume Thread

Omaha's gonna win some games. Hopefully enough to find their way into the Top 150 come resume evaluation time.

Richmond made a run on Cal. Spiders are fo real.

They've got a nice program. Got overshadowed by VCU a bit lately despite having a recent Sweet 16 appearance of their own and being a tough A10 squad. Cal is soft right now despite all the talent. Physical and mentally tough teams in SDSU and Richmond are exposing it.

Cal falls to Richmond 94-90. Bears now 4-2. This Vegas tournament was a lynchpin of their OOC, going 0-2 won't do them any favors. They've got some growing up to do before we talk about them as top 15 again.

CSU beat Portland 90-74. Rams now 5-0, Pilots 3-3. Despite heavy personnel losses, our game in Ft. Collins is going to be the usual pain in the ass. Eustachy will see to it. We'd better be ready.

Arizona falls to Providence 69-65. Cats now 5-1 and miss out on playing Michigan State.

Upper-echelon of the Pac got decimated this week. Not going to be much left of the Pac in the top 25 next week.

Saturday:

Penn State (2-2) vs Bucknell (3-2): PSU has been miserable, getting killed by Radford and Duquesne their last times out. Any win is progress at this point, especially this being an in-state game and Bucknell being a decent program.

Air Force (3-2) vs New Mexico State (4-1): Chance for AFA to pick up a nice OOC home win.

Portland (3-3) vs Southern Illinois (5-1): Corpus Christi. Need Portland to win some games against opposition like this decent Salukis side.

4 Iowa State (4-0) vs Illinois (3-3): Destin, FL. Cyclones should win comfortably over the struggling Illini.

Colorado State (5-0) vs UTEP (5-0): Corpus Christi. We'll find out a lot about CSU in this one. UTEP is solid. If CSU pulls this off then he's ahead of schedule.

Washington State (3-0) vs Texas Southern (1-4): A final cupcake for Wazzu before facing Gonzaga.

BYU (3-1) vs Belmont (4-2): This will be a decent test for BYU. Cougs have been sleepwalking a bit so far. BYU is favored by 6.5.

Current non-conference winning percentages (through Monday, 11/23):

TOP 10
  1. Pac-12 (86.67%)
  2. ACC (82.46%)
  3. Big 12 (81.82%)
  4. Atlantic 10 (77.55%)
  5. SEC (74.07%)
  6. Big 10 (72.22%)
  7. Big East (71.43%)
  8. Mountain West (65.71%)
  9. Summit (61.29%)
  10. AAC (60.00%)

Not even a week later and the Pac is down to 73.8%. Not to mention that a couple of the wins should have been losses (Arizona vs Santa Clara and Stanford vs Arkansas).

Yeah. Had to figure that it would go down with the tournaments this week. But it was bad showings by Cal and some others I didn't expect to drop a couple.

Sunday's going to be a big day. Pac-12 is going to be favored to sweep, but there are a bunch of games that are dangerous. UA has Boise, USC has Monmouth, ASU has UCSB, CU & UCLA should have walk-overs. We get those plus the UW win tonight and this week will look a lot better on the overall win percentage.

Great OT win by AFA over NM State! That's a big surprise today. Hell yeah!

Kent State lost to Pitt. Not a bad loss in the least, but we really need to play SMU in Vegas.

CSU is manhandling a good UTEP team. Up 17 at half.

I'm growing increasingly concerned about our visit to CSU. Eustachy is at it again.

Glad to see CSU drop back to earth. Are we going to have the poise to manage an OT/last second game at Moby? We'll see.

Would have been better if they had won ... Then if CU wins at CSU, it means more. Eustachy is a hell of a good coach.

Regardless, CSU won't be finishing 7th in the MWC this year (where the media had them). If we win at Moby, we'll have ourselves a nice win.

They were hoping to be ranked coming into our game. Too bad. I would think that we still have a chance to be ranked if we come out of Moby with a win.

Iowa State finally getting some distance from Illinois.

Good sign when you can play like crap for 30 min and walk away with a comfortable win over a B1G side. Looks like ISU now faces a tricky NDSU side next. Iowa looms as well (Hawkeyes have the bulk of last year's squad back, I believe).
