2013 Official Uniform Thread.

So we still haven't busted out the matte black helmets and the rest of the league is already moving on to the trending "ultra-glossy, ornament helmet". If and when we finally do a matte no one will notice or give a **** except for us in this thread. Sigh. The glossy thing could be kind of cool for 'silver and gold'

Everyone wants black uni's, we have em. Just want to start winning. Could care less at this point.

In the cycling community matte has been out for a while. It's kinda that way with the new icons people are coming out for apps and ios 7 as well. Glossy is in now.

Trends change very quickly. Does CU want to want to be trendy? There's not really a right or wrong answer, but outside of a few schools most are headed in that direction. I'm glad cu has kept somewhat up with the trends otherwise we would have had those ugly uniforms we had during nostalgia day. Puke. They were as awful as the Steeler throwbacks.

We should take the Notre dame 24kt gold helmet and slap a black buffaloes on it.

We're behind the curve here. Only thing I can think of that would be unique is carbon fiber helmets. (Not actually made of carbon fiber, idots, with the look of carbon fiber).

It is just fun to be "fresh." And I think that is just a small but pertinent aspect that recruits, players and fans alike can appreciate. Even if we have a fugly uniform for a game or two, it is a funny story and something that gets us notoriety. Who cares about Maryland? Nobody, but their uniform has been something to talk about for people outside of the state and catch the eye of some fashionably questionable recruits.

What I'm really saying is we should put the glossy Colorado flag on half of the helmet and make the other have a shiney mirror with a big fat golden buffalo on it....oh, and then make the uniforms out of real buffalo hide

Oregon already did this like 5 years ago.

Anyone know how it is the Baylor football team wears Nike and their hoop team wears Adidas? I figured this thread could come up with an answer.

Nike saw how ****ed up their basketball program was(and is) with the whole murder thing so they backed out. But their President, Dr. Douche, the one who put CU down, being the Nazi that he is, blew Adidas's Collegiate Marketer to get basketball uniforms because no other company would sponsor the ****ty team that is Baylor Basketball. This post makes absolutely no sense unless you understand that The brothers who created Adidas were German Nazis, Tying in the president who works for Baylor. **** Bailer.

Baylor doesn't have an exclusive deal. I'd expect that to change, but for now each program negotiates independently.
