'18 JC OLB Davion Taylor (SIGNED to COLORADO)

Two questions:
1) Was it a transfer credit thing?
2) Most JC's are signed at this time, but he is still listed as a verbal - so technically, his recruiting is still open, right?

I don't know the details on the "why".

No JUCOs for 2018 are signed yet. They sign in December.

So why is he not listed as a verbal in this profile?
I don't know. I didn't remove him. Figured that whomever did it had a reason.

Taylor does not have himself as a Buffs commit in his twitter profile, scheduled a bunch of OVs and failed to mention CU in his last recruiting interview that I saw. So it looks bad for CU here, but I still haven't seen a decommit.

Quick Twitter check shows that he's had official visits to Missouri and Ole Miss the last two weeks. I also recall reading somewhere that coach Mac had an in home visit with him recently. From the looks of it...it's time for the entire defensive coaching staff to pay him a visit as well. Show him the love.

Yeah. Some kids are wired to where they'd rather be a legend for a rebuilding program than another piece of the puzzle for a big time school, though it's rare. In order for that to work though, you need to make them your #1 priority. The radio silence is pretty troubling. A lot of the kids we've recruited so far are hyped to be Buffs. You'd like to see a lot of enthusiasm here.

Also, at his size, is he moving to safety as a P5 player? That could be a selling point for CU.

exactly and isn't Eliot known for coaching up/recruiting LBs? get out there DJ.

Just before the Ole Miss visit. MM visited Taylor at his school and then visited his mother (especially important in this case).

Nice. Leave the closing to DJ?

I love the sequencing of his visit relative to his other OVs.

I wonder what MM’s close sounds like?

The timing of MM doing his in home was almost certainly to get Taylor back in the fold and have him cancel those other OVs. It didn't work. I think Taylor is almost certainly out.

I guess he thought he had a better chance to prevent a flip. I’d rather have the last word. Up to MM.
