'18 JC OLB Davion Taylor (SIGNED to COLORADO)

This should really help our problems stopping the rush. Looking back on this year, if we had someone like this back there we would have been bowl bound.

We got some great athleticism this cycle and this guy is at the top of the list. He covers so much area, can erase a lot of other issues on d in the run and pass game. I’m really excited what we’ve done at LB the last two recruiting cycles.

Just wanted to add that, off MM's short recent interview with Mark Johnson I just listened to, Mr. Taylor will be running track with the Buffs starting this spring.

That got me to looking for his track results, and I found this site with some high school results for him- https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/Athlete.aspx?AID=7200549#/L0 . In addition to his obvious speed (he won the Mississippi 4A state championships 100M in 10.79, and improved that to 10.63 at his JC (http://coahomasports.com/news/2017/...tional-qualifying-time-at-arkansas-state.aspx)), he also WON his state high school championship in the triple jump and came in 3rd in the long jump. In short, looks like NO shortage of overall athleticism.
(Admittedly NO expert, but the triple jump always impresses me as a TOUGH event that requires lots of strength and coordination.)

10.63! Whoa.

He sounds like Isiah Oliver.
