2013-14 Coaching Carousel Thread

This would be fantastic:

Washington: It will be interesting to see if Bo Pelini goes after the Washington job. Pelini knows Washington AD Scott Woodward well and as noted in this article from the Seattle Times in 2010, Woodward said he would have considered hiring Pelini in the past. In other news related to Washington, there is no question that Alabama offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier wants the job.

Bo would presumably bring Carl as his DC?

Probably done by a Nebraska fan...with internet access

That would be too perfect

Not sure any BCS team will take the leap on Pellini when the train wreck in Lincoln has run its course. He could be a pretty damn funny Color man for college football broadcasts though :)

This bit seems weird to me, the coach but not the coach?

USC: Sark said his first practice will be during spring ball. Clay Helton will serve as the head coach for the Trojans' bowl game. Sark said he will watch the bowl practices. During the game, he will not be on the sidelines.

Marques Tuiasosopo interviewing for UW job...Boise Pete and Nussmeier also in the mix.

EDIT: MT AND Justin Wilcox are interviewing to get the interim gig for the bowl game. $C will pony up for Lupoi's buyout, ($400K) but not Wilcox ($1M). Interesting.

I have to admit that I am really enjoying this UW coaching scramble. It's almost last call, and they're going to end up with the fat chick.

Former Buff asssistant and current CSU-Pueblo HC John Wristen interviewing today for the job at Eastern Michigan. If he takes it and can win there he will be on his way to bigger jobs.

Too bad it's a dead end job. The EMU has been to 2 bowl games, and none in the past 25 years.

Good coaches find ways to win.

That may be one of those jobs that takes way more than a good coach to win at.

He didn't seem like he was overly hyped about it when interviewed on TV. It may be that he is doing the interview more to get his name in pool hoping for a better opportunity.

Sark takes LB Coach Peter Sirmon with him to USC. Huge loss, probably their best non-Tosh recruiter.
