2018 MBB Transfer Thread

Sure would be nice if Zach Braxton came home from Weber State as a grad transfer.

Wichita's best recruit, Alex Lomax, has been released to attend Memphis St , coached by his HS coach Penny Hardaway.

Lomax is a 3 time! Tennessee Mr Basketball.

HCTB talked a bit about getting a grad transfer. Interesting and relevant comment that CU may not necessarily have a graduate program that would work well for a possible transfer. (not replying specifically about Braxton, though)

6'10" forward Mike Finke will leave Illinois as a grad transfer. His younger brother Tim will be a Freshman at Grand Canyon, so that's a possible destination.

Te'Jon Lucas, too.

With him transferring and Franks going to the draft, they're a shoe-in for the last placed team in the conference. Hopefully we don't struggle against them next year like we have been past couple of years

Ernie Kent alone is enough to guarantee them bottom 3. This is one hell of a tank job.

Huge blow

Kim English recently followed on twitter
6'10/230 from Ames, IA

2017-18 (Redshirt-Sophomore)
Played in all 32 games, starting the final 29 games of the year … averaged a team best 9.0 rebounds per game to go with 10.2 points per game … had a career best 20 rebounds in a dominant effort against Little Rock (12/2) to help ORU to the double overtime victory … finished top 15 in the nation in offensive rebounds per game (3.53) … grabbed 10 or more rebounds in 16 games during the season, including nine of 11 games at the end of nonconference play into the first three games of Summit League play … posted a team best nine double-doubles on the season, including two 20/10 games … scored a career high 25 points in ORU’s convincing win at Florida Gulf Coast (12/16) and had 24 points at UNLV (12/5) … blocked a season high three shots against South Dakota State (2/10) and had three steals in three different games; UNLV (12/5), Western Illinois (1/6) and at Omaha (2/22).

Didn't someone say they saw Tad at an airport bar in Iowa recently?

From JSBuff22 on 247, March 16th. Would have been 10 days before White's announcement, and he's obviously not JUCO, but seems semi-plausible.
Yep, was just waiting for him to be done with his phone call. Here recruiting junior colleges, pointed to the tournament on the tv and said “you’ll be watching us next year”, confirmed he thinks McKinley is an absolute stud and crossed his fingers and said I really hope so about battey being back next year.

I understand the love for big men, but I really want a shooter if we’re getting a grad transfer. Someone who could light it up from deep would open up driving lanes for Kin and post ups for Dallas. This team is going to be very young again next year and a veteran shooting presence would do wonders for the offensive output of this team.

Maybe Schwartz and Kin continue to to develop as better shooters and Bey extends his range a few more feet. But snagging a guaranteed shooter would really raise the ceiling of the 2018-2019 Buffs.

Yes.

Hopefully Namon progresses. He can't have the same disappearing he did this season.

Namon's someone we should be able to assume is about 12/4 on a pedestrian night. He's got to get it there.
