promoted QB Davis Webb Transferring to COLORADO from TTU (Committed to COLORADO)

Great news. This gives the Buffs a QB that has actually beat a Pac 12 bowl team and not a couple of bottom feeders.

Welcome to the Black and Gold!

No other single move (other than maybe a new stud OL coach) could have as big of an impact on the buffs making a bowl game this year than Webb signing on. Great news!

Davis Webb still needs to complete 9 credit hours this semester, according to the article by Feldman. Will be here in time for first summer session.

Interesting note also:
The timing of Webb's arrival is key for Colorado, since three-year starting QB Sefo Liufau is expected to be sidelined for the 2016 season with a Lisfranc injury.

gawd, this is good news. a proven p5 qb fills a huge void for us with sefo out (no matter how you feel about sefo overall). this isn't a prospect; this is a guy who has been there. this could be the difference between a bowl game, better recruiting, and a step forward this year and another losing year and possibly a new coaching staff. very, very happy about this one.

This is an all around big win.

Webb is without question a talent. He upgrades the position for next year regardless of who else we have on the roster.

I also like the fact that we have an experienced upper classman in the QB room finally.

Sefo got the position handed to him as a freshman before he was ready. He was also put into a leadership position before he was ready.

Webb has been a winner, he has prepared for games like a winner and seen other winning QBs prepare.

I know he will make us better next year. His presence could also have an impact on future years

Not that it means anything in particular, but all the comments on these things are about how "big things are coming for Colorado" from Texas tech players and fans. Nice to read that. =']

It's probably obvious, but can someone tell me why he's leaving TTech in the first place? Do you get an extra year of eligibility if you transfer after you graduate?

Five years to play four; after graduating, you can take your ball and play where you like without sitting a year. He chose to transfer because another QB took his starting job.

He wasn't going to start for them, had only used 3 years of eligibility, and could transfer immediately after he graduated. He was trying to find somewhere he could show off his skillset and hopefully earn an NFL Shot.

Props to MM and company for convincing him CU can be that showcase.

Now how soon can he sign and make it official (binding)?
